This Board is responsible for the proper licensure of addiction counselors who practice in North Dakota. The governor's appointees must include: Five practicing licensed addiction counselors (LAC, one of whom must be engaged in the private practice of addiction counseling)and two public members. No member may serve more than two consecutive three-year terms.
