| The Commission rewrites the gaming rules and regulations after the Legislative Sessions. The governor appoints the chairman. Senate confirmation required. Members must be a resident of this state for at least two years before the date of appointment. A person who has a financial interest in gaming cannot be a member of the commission and cannot be employed by the Commission. Persons are also ineligible to serve if they have been convicted of certain criminal offenses as outlined in subsection 2 of NDCC 53-06.1-01.1.
