Dalrymple Celebrates Grand Openng of Elbowoods Memorial Health Center in New Town

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple today joined residents of the Fort Berthold Reservation and tribal, state and federal officials in celebrating the grand opening of the Elbowoods Memorial Health Center in New Town, a $20 million clinic that will provide expanded health care services to the reservation.

Dalrymple Calls for 2011-2012 Governor's Band/Orchestra and Chorus Applications

BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. Jack Dalrymple today encouraged school, community and church bands, orchestras and choirs across North Dakota to submit an application to serve as the 2011-2012 Governor’s Official State Band/Orchestra and Chorus.

 

Dalrymple's Request for Ag Disaster Assistance Approved

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple received word today that U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has approved his request to make disaster assistance available to North Dakota farmers and ranchers who have sustained crop production losses due to flooding, frost and other damages.

Dalrymple Congratulates Oak Park on Being Named "America's Favorite Park"

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple today attended a check presentation ceremony in Minot at which Oak Park was officially presented a $100,000 check and the title of “America’s Favorite Park” as part of the Coca-Cola Company’s America is Your Park campaign. Dalrymple helped present the check to the Minot Park District that will be used to restore the park, which sustained significant damage as a result of flooding this past summer.

Dalrymple, Legislative Leaders Tour Minot-Area Flood Damages

BISMARCK, N.D – Gov. Jack Dalrymple today led state legislative leaders on a tour of flood-damaged neighborhoods in the Minot area so that they could get a firsthand look at the region’s needs for federal and state assistance.  Joining Dalrymple on the tour were House Majority Leader Al Carlson, Senate Majority Leader Rich Wardner and Rep. Jeff Delzer, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee.

Dalrymple Leads FEMA Officials on Flood Tours

BISMARCK, N.D. – Governor Jack Dalrymple today lead high-ranking FEMA officials on flood tours in the Minot area, the Bismarck-Mandan area and in the Devils Lake Basin to demonstrate the state’s need for additional flood mitigation and protection assistance.

Dalrymple Congratulates Phoenix International on Fargo Expansion

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple was in Fargo today to break ground on a new facility for Phoenix International, a John Deere Company, and to congratulate the company on its expansion that will bring new jobs and economic opportunities to the region. The event was held on the site of the company’s new facility north of 19th Avenue.

Governors Make Friendly Wager on Dakota Marker Game

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple has made a friendly wager with South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard on the outcome of this weekend’s North Dakota State University football game with South Dakota State University.

Dalrymple has agreed to send a case of North Dakota-made Dreamfields low carb pasta to Daugaard if South Dakota State wins the cross-border rivalry. Daugaard has offered Gov. Dalrymple a smoked-pheasant dinner following a Bison win.

Dalrymple Presses Corps to Lower Lake Sakakawea

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple told other Missouri River governors today that the U.S. Corps of Engineers should lower Lake Sakakawea’s targeted elevation to prepare  for another year of expected heavy precipitation.

The majority of governors and officials from eight states along the Missouri River supported Dalrymple’s request for the Corps to lower Lake Sakakawea and make room for greater water storage during spring runoff.

Dalrymple Tells EPA to Accept State's Regional Haze Plan

BISMARCK, ND. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple today urged the Environmental Protection Agency to drop its plan to take over the state’s authority to regulate air quality. Dalrymple testified in support of North Dakota’s regional haze plan as a better solution during a public hearing held today and Friday at the State Health Building in Bismarck.
