Land Board Commits More Than $16 Million in Energy Impact Grants for Hub Cities in Oil Country

BISMARCK, N.D. – The Board of University and School Lands (Land Board) today committed an additional $16,788,859 in Energy Impact Grants for Williston, Dickinson and Minot to help address infrastructure needs stemming from the rapid oil and gas development in western North Dakota. The grants were allocated from Oil and Gas Impact Funds earmarked for incorporated cities with a population of 10,000 or more.

Dalrymple Proclaims a Day of Prayer on Memorial Day

BISMARCK, N.D. - In accordance with a proclamation signed by the President, Gov. Jack Dalrymple has proclaimed Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, a day of prayer in North Dakota, and has directed all state government agencies to fly the American and North Dakota flags at half-staff until noon on that day.

In addition, Dalrymple calls on North Dakotans to observe the President’s request that Americans unite in prayer at 11 a.m. local time on that day, and that a moment of silence also be observed at 3 p.m. local time for the National Moment of Remembrance.

Dalrymple Celebrates Groundbreaking for Williston Housing, Retail Development

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple and Williston-area officials today celebrated the groundbreaking of a new development project that includes the construction of 1,344 new apartment units in Williston.

North By Northwest Development, a Colorado-based company, began construction today of Chandler Field, a 100-acre development that will include apartments, retail space and a 157-room hotel.

BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. Jack Dalrymple today joined local and state officials in celebrating Bismarck’s first annual Founders Day and the 140th anniversary of the founding of North Dakota’s capital city.

Dalrymple Declares May 15 Peace Officers Memorial Day

BISMARCK, N.D. – In accordance with a proclamation signed by the President, Gov. Jack Dalrymple has declared Tuesday, May 15, Peace Officers Memorial Day in the state and has directed all government agencies to fly the American and North Dakota flags at half staff from sunrise to sunset on that day. The flags will be lowered to honor the law enforcement officials who have fallen in the line of duty.

Dalrymple, Stenehjem Press Corps for Permanent and Free Access to Missouri River

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple and Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem announced today that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has agreed to begin issuing temporary, no-cost permits for water usage along North Dakota’s Missouri River.  Dalrymple and Stenehjem spoke today with Jo-Ellen Darcy, the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, and Craig Schmauder, Deputy General Counsel for the Army, who said the Corps plans to begin issuing water permits.

Dalrymple Presents Purple Heart to North Dakota National Guard Sergeant Michael Wing

BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. Jack Dalrymple today joined Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, adjutant general of the North Dakota National Guard (NDNG), in presenting NDNG Sgt. Michael Wing of Surrey with the Purple Heart for Military Merit. Dalrymple and Sprynczynatyk presented Wing with his medal during a ceremony at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Minot.
