Dalrymple Named Chair of National Governors Association Natural Resources Committee
BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple was named chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee by NGA Chair Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and NGA Vice Chair Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper.
The Natural Resources Committee has jurisdiction over issues related to agriculture, energy, the environment and natural resources. Members of the committee ensure that the governors’ views are represented in the shaping of federal policy.
“As governors, we are uniquely positioned to influence federal legislation and regulations that affect national and state natural resources policies,” Dalrymple said. “I look forward to chairing the Natural Resources Committee and to sharing with others the successful policies that have been implemented here in North Dakota.”
Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy will serve as vice chair of the committee.
