BISMARCK, N.D. – Governor Jack Dalrymple today offered the following statement regarding the death of Capt. Anne Rockeman Montgomery, a North Dakota native who was killed Monday in a helicopter crash at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state. Three other soldiers were also killed during the training exercise.

“Betsy and I are saddened by the death of Capt. Anne Montgomery and by the deaths of her fellow soldiers,” Dalrymple said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families and their loved ones.”

Other soldiers also killed Monday in Washington state were: Chief Warrant Officer Frank Buoniconti of Colorado, Chief Warrant Officer Joseph Satterfield of Alaska, and Chief Warrant Officer Lucas Daniel Sigfrid of Alabama.
