Governor, First Lady Celebrate Fourth of July with Fellow North Dakotans
BISMARCK, N.D. – Governor Jack Dalrymple and First Lady Betsy Dalrymple today will join fellow North Dakotans at Independence Day celebrations in Mandan and Bismarck. The Governor and First Lady will participate in Mandan’s Rodeo Days Parade then attend the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra’s annual Fourth of July Spectacular on the grounds of the state Capital.
Gov. Dalrymple also issued today the following statement in commemoration of our nation’s independence:
“For 236 years, the United States has served as a beacon of hope and freedom for the entire world. Independence Day is an opportunity for us to honor those who have made this country what it is today. On this anniversary of our nation’s independence, we especially want to remember and honor all of the men and women in uniform who throughout America’s history, have defended the very freedoms we enjoy each and every day. North Dakota has 300 National Guard members currently serving overseas. Keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers. We are forever indebted to them, and to those who went before them, to defend our liberties.”
