Building Safety Month
Effective Date:
May 1, 2012 - May 31, 2012 WHEREAS, the well-being of North Dakotans is dependent on the safety and sustainability of buildings in the state; and
WHEREAS, the general public is reminded of the importance of building safety codes and compliance with these codes where we live, work and play; and
WHEREAS, it is important to recognize the contributions provided by building safety and fire prevention officials, architects, engineers, builders and others in the construction industry; and
WHEREAS, state and local governments throughout the United States are joining with builders’ and designers’ organizations to promote safe buildings through the observance of Building Safety Month.
NOW, THEREFORE, as Governor of the State of North Dakota, I do hereby proclaim May 2012, BUILDING SAFETY MONTH in the state of North Dakota.
