Farmers Union Youth Week
Effective Date:
May 6, 2012 - May 12, 2012 WHEREAS, the youth of our state are North Dakota’s most valuable resource; and
WHEREAS, enhancing leadership abilities in our young people will help build visionary leaders for North Dakota’s future; and
WHEREAS, educating young people on cooperative business is important to growing our state’s agriculture industry and overall economy; and
WHEREAS, Farmers Union members have developed cooperative and community leaders through education classes and a statewide summer camping program that involves thousands of youth each year.
NOW, THEREFORE, as Governor of the State of North Dakota, I do hereby proclaim May 6-12, 2012, FARMERS UNION YOUTH WEEK in the state of North Dakota.
