WHEREAS, the mission of the North Dakota Medical Association is to promote the health and well-being of the citizens of North Dakota and to provide leadership to the medical community; and

WHEREAS, NDMA members deliver high-quality healthcare from border to border and across generations; and

WHEREAS, NDMA members advocate for effective health-care policy at the local, state and national levels; and

WHEREAS, since settlers journeyed across the prairies, North Dakota physicians have embraced the strengths and benefits of professional organization – even prior to statehood; and

WHEREAS, NDMA continues to be a strong, independent voice for physicians and their patients.

NOW, THEREFORE, as Governor of the State of North Dakota, I do hereby recognize the North Dakota Medical Association on the occasion of its 125th anniversary and for the association’s continued contributions to the health of North Dakotans.
