Hoeven: Dalrymple, Delegates To Brief Media On Korean Trade Mission Progress

BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven will join Lt. Gov. Jack Dalrymple and state business leaders at a news conference Tuesday to brief the media on progress made during a recent trade mission to Korea. The mission was organized by the North Dakota Trade Office and led by Lt. Gov. Dalrymple.

The news conference will be held in Bismarck at 9 a.m. in the Governor’s Conference Room at the North Dakota State Capitol Building, 600 E. Blvd. Ave.

Delegates will discuss new sales and distribution opportunities they have identified for their companies. Dalrymple will discuss high level talks with Doosan Corp. senior executives regarding Bobcat and transportation issues, as well as high level meetings with Korean shipping companies. The Lt. Governor and Commissioner Johnson, who was also on the trade mission, will discuss the Korean beef ban and prospects for lifting the embargo.

Also on hand to discuss the mission are Scott Russell, vice president of sales and marketing for Cloverdale Foods Co. of Mandan, and Roger Gussiaas, president of Roger & Stacey Gussiaas Farm, Inc. of Carrington. Agriculture Commissioner Johnson will join the news conference by telephone.

Dalrymple led the 25-member delegation to Seoul, South Korea on March 14. They completed their weeklong business trip last Friday. Information about other participants in the mission will be released over the coming week.
