BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Doug Burgum released the following statement today in observance of Thanksgiving Day.
“Kathryn, Brent and I wish all North Dakotans a Happy Thanksgiving filled with warmth and gratitude for beloved family, friends and food. As Americans everywhere gather for their holiday feasts, our thoughts are with the North Dakota farmers and ranchers who produce an abundance of affordable, high-quality food. We are deeply grateful but not surprised that they have responded to unprecedented harvest challenges with perseverance, ingenuity and resilience, and we remain as committed as ever to finding every avenue of assistance available to help our agricultural producers and communities through this extremely difficult situation. We also give thanks to everyone working to eliminate the shame and stigma of the disease of addiction and taking meaningful steps to help make recovery possible.”
