BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Doug Burgum, alongside North Dakota Parks and Recreation Director Cody Schulz, Rendezvous Region Tourism Council President Angelle French and local youth, will break ground on North Dakota’s 14th state park at 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Pembina Gorge State Park.
As North Dakota’s 14th state park, the newest since 1989, Pembina Gorge State Park marks a significant investment into the state’s outdoor recreation. Local children will share their excitement for the future opportunities they will be able to share with generations to come.
WHAT: Groundbreaking to begin development of Pembina Gorge State Park. After the scheduled program, guests are invited to participate in a guided hike at the Pembina Gorge Trailhead or a Homesteading Historical Tour at Icelandic State Park.
