BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Doug Burgum has directed all government agencies across the state to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, Jan. 24, in honor of Rolette County Sheriff’s Deputy Colt Allery, who died in the line of duty this past week. Funeral services for Allery will be held Tuesday in Belcourt.
“Deputy Colt Allery dedicated his life to protecting his fellow citizens and proudly served his community with courage and honor,” Burgum said. “We lower the flags to show our deepest gratitude for his noble service and to pay tribute to the ultimate sacrifice he made.”
