BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Doug Burgum will deliver remarks Tuesday at the North Dakota Petroleum Council’s annual meeting in Fargo. Burgum will discuss progress made by the industry since he issued a challenge last year to eventually increase oil production to 2 million barrels per day, as well as factors limiting growth such as workforce and gas capture infrastructure.
North Dakota remains the nation’s No. 2 oil producing state, setting a record in July with 1.27 million barrels per day.
