BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Doug Burgum and First Lady Kathryn Helgaas Burgum will hold a media availability Wednesday during A Day for Prevention, a daylong event in Bismarck to discuss public policies, strategies and resources that work to prevent substance abuse.

Where: Room 443, National Energy Center of Excellence, Bismarck State College, 1200 Schafer St., Bismarck.
More than 600 people have registered to attend A Day for Prevention, hosted by the North Dakota Department of Human Services. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CDT at the National Energy Center of Excellence and will also be webcast live at www.governor.nd.gov.
The governor and first lady will deliver the event’s welcoming remarks at 9 a.m.
Community viewing and participation events are also planned in Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot, Jamestown, Devils Lake, Rolla, Valley City and Williston.
