BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Kelly Armstrong will hold a press conference Monday, Jan. 6, at the Capitol in Bismarck to announce his appointment to fill the North Dakota Public Service Commission (PSC) seat vacated by former commissioner Julie Fedorchak. The appointed PSC member will attend the press conference as well.

Fedorchak was elected to Congress in November and sworn in Friday as North Dakota’s sole member of the U.S. House of Representatives. She had served on the PSC since 2013 and was re-elected to a six-year term in 2022. The person appointed by Armstrong to fill the PSC seat will serve until the November 2026 general election, which will determine who serves the remaining two years of the term through 2028.
