BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Doug Burgum, State Superintendent Kirsten Baesler and State Treasurer Thomas Beadle will be joined by other state officials for a press conference Tuesday, April 2, to launch “Smart with My Money,” a multi-agency effort aimed at making North Dakota the most financially literate state in the nation.
The most recent financial literacy survey by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Investor Education Foundation found that only 37% of adults surveyed in North Dakota in 2021 felt confident with their knowledge of finances, which was lower than neighboring states.
