Following the media availability, a community roundtable discussion and listening session on the Main Street Initiative is scheduled from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. MT at Dickinson Area Public Library, 139 W. 3rd St.
Earlier in the day, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. MT, Burgum and Sanford will tour Dickinson State University and meet with administrators, faculty, staff and students. The visit is part of the governor’s plan to tour all 11 of North Dakota’s public colleges and universities as the Task Force for Higher Education Governance continues to assess whether changes are needed to ensure higher education meets the state’s education and workforce needs for the 21st century.
