BISMARCK, N.D. (March 19, 2019) – Gov. Doug Burgum will testify Wednesday before the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs during a field oversight hearing in Bismarck chaired by Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., titled, “To Protect and Serve: Joint Law Enforcement Efforts in Building Safe Tribal Communities and Stopping Dangerous Drugs from Entering Indian Country.” Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., and Congressman Kelly Armstrong, R-N.D., also will attend.
On Thursday, Burgum will join Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta for a discussion in Fargo on workforce issues and association health plans and for a meeting in Bismarck with tribal college presidents. Cramer invited Acosta to hear directly from North Dakotans on the issues.
